How long does a pool liner typically last? +
Most vinyl pool liners last 10–12 years with proper maintenance. Ontario's climate — UV exposure in summer and freeze-thaw cycles in winter — can accelerate wear. We recommend an inspection once your liner passes the 10-year mark.
What's the difference between inground and above ground liner replacement? +
Pool Solutions install liners for inground, onground, and above ground pools. Inground and onground liners require precise custom fitting and more labour time. Aboveground liner installations require careful disassembly and reassembly of the pool's top rails, coping, and other structural components. Pool drain and prep is included in both services.
Do I need to drain my pool before you arrive? +
No — pool draining and prep is handled by our crew as part of the installation service. You don't need to do anything ahead of time. Once the new liner is installed and secured, you'll be responsible for providing water to refill the pool.
How long does the liner replacement take? +
Installation itself is typically one day on-site — add another day for fill time and chemistry balance. From measurement to install, plan for 2–4 weeks depending on the time of year. May and June are our busiest weeks — pools are opening, schedules fill fast, and liner lead times stretch. If your liner is on borrowed time, the best move is to get your measurement booked now and your order in the queue before the rush.
Is the liner measurement fee refundable? +
Yes, $100 will be reimbursed when you purchase the liner and installation through Pool Solutions. It covers the cost of our tech visiting your site and producing an accurate custom measurement.
Will I receive a written quote before work starts? +
Always. Pool Solutions follows an Estimate → Accept → Invoice process. You'll receive a written estimate after the measurement visit. No work starts and no charges are made until you've reviewed and accepted it.
Do you offer financing for liner replacement? +
